Puff Pastry (Rough Puff Dough)

Rough Puff Pastry

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 cup Butter, very cold, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup Water, very cold
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups Flour

Method
 

  1. Using a food processor fitted with metal blade.
    Add flour and salt to bowl. Add butter cubes.
    Pulse until butter is absorbed, about 10 to 12 one second pulses.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, place dough and knead lightly, about 10 times.
  3. Roll into rectangle approximately 12×18 inches.
    Fold dough like an envelope then fold in half. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
