Walnut Crusted Tuna Steaks with Peach Chutney

Ingredients
  

Peach Chutney
  • 1 1/2 cup Peaches, diced about 2 peaches
  • 1/2 cup Onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, fresh grated or minced.
  • 2 Roasted Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Jalapeno pepper, diced optional
  • dash Cinnamon
Tuna Steak
  • 2 Tuna Steaks, Fresh
  • 1 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 Egg

Method
 

  1. For chutney, place vinegar, onions, peppers, garlic, and ginger in a skillet and simmer until onions are just soft. Add cinnamon and peaches. Turn off heat and cover with a lid.
  2. For tuna steaks, pat tuna dry. Beat egg. Dip each tuna steak in egg to evenly coat. Let excess egg drip off. Coat steaks with walnut pieces.
  3. Place tuna in a preheated skillet to medium high. Sear each side of the tuna for two minutes.
  4. Serve tuna topped with peach chutney. Optional - serve over rice.
