Savory Potato Cakes

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Cups Potatoes -mashed
  • 4 Tbsp Oil for frying
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Sausage-cooked and crumbled
  • 2 Tsp Salt

Method
 

  1. Mix all ingredients together. Add milk or cream to thin it if necessary. But keep it a thick biscuit like dough
  2. Heat oil in a skillet to medium high heat.
    Place potato mixture in 2 tbsp mounds the skillet. Smash down slightly.
    Fry Until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Serve hot topped with sour cream, chives, cayenne,and hot sauce
