Corned Beef and Cabbage

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Corned Beef 3 lbs or more
  • 4 Potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 lb Carrots, cut
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1/2 large head Cabbage, cut into wedges

Equipment

  • Slow cooker or Instant pot

Method
 

  1. Place potatoes, carrots and onion into cooker. Combine water, sugar, vinegar, garlic, pepper, bay leaf and contents of spice package. Pour over veggies.
  2. Top with beef and cabbage
  3. Set to low slow heat. Cook for 8 hours or until meat is tender.
