Cloud Biscuits

Servings: 24 Servings

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 2/3 cup Milk

Method
 

  1. Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Combine milk and egg. Add to flour all at once. Stir until dough follows mixer around the bowl.
  3. Knead dough gently for 1 - 2 minutes.
  4. Roll dough to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut into circles with round cutter dipped in flour. Or cut into squares.
  5. Bake on ungreased baking sheet. Close together for soft sided biscuits.
  6. Bake at 450 for 10 to 14 minutes until golden brown.
