Yucatan Smoked Shrimp

Smoky, spicy shrimp with a citrus hot sauce
Servings: 12 Shrimp

Ingredients
  

  • Shrimp
Marinade
  • 3 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1-2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Lime powder
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Jalapeno Ketchup Gives it a great kick. Can substitute regular ketchup with pickled jalapeno juice or cayenne powder.
  • Cilantro chopped, for garnish
Sauce from Marinade
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Worstershire sauce
  • Cayenne to taste
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Water as needed

Method
 

  1. Combine marinade ingredients and divide in half. Pour half over shrimp for 15 minutes. Smoke at 300 for 15 to 20 minutes. If not smoking, cook shrimp in a skillet until just cooked.
  2. Combine the other half of marinade with Worstershire sauce and remaining ingredients. Place in serving bowl.
    Serve shrimp topped with diced onion and cilantro
