Dilly Beans – Pickled Green Beans

Servings: 1 Quart Jar

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Fresh Green beans
  • 1 tsp Alum To keep beans crispy
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Vinegar more as needed.
  • 2 tbsp Pickling Spice
Optional Additions
  • Jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
  • Habanero peppers, thinly sliced
  • Kale leaf, thinly sliced

Method
 

  1. Pack green beans into jar wide mouth jar. Alternate with optional ingredients if using.
    Add water and pickling spices. Top with vinegar.
  2. Refrigerate for 5 days.
