Buttery Chicken

Tender, chewy, and slightly nutty Israeli couscous is an irresistible side dish that comes together in just a few minutes, with very little effort.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Chicken breasts cut into bite size pieces.
  • 1 tbls Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Butter, softened
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Chicken broth
  • 1/2 tbsp Oregano
  • 1 tbsp Basil
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Sauce or more if desired.
  • 1+ tsp Lemon Juice or vinegar Add to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter to skillet. Tilt pan to spread evenly
  3. Toss chicken in Italian seasoning, paprika and pepper evenly.
  4. Add chicken. Do not crowd pieces or chicken will steam rather than brown. Cook until nicely brown on all sides. About 3 minutes per side.
  5. Add remaining butter and garlic. Add tomato sauce if using. Cook until chicken is cooked through. Serve over rice or couscous.
