Puff Pastry Tarts

Ingredients
  

  • Puff Pastry
Cream Cheese filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
Egg Wash
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1/4 cup Sugar

Method
 

  1. Thaw puff pastry.
  2. Preheat oven to 375.
Cream Cheese filling
  1. Using a mixer, beat the cream cheese with sugar for 2 minutes.
    Add egg yolk, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat until combined.
Assemble Pastry
  1. Unfold pastry sheet. Cut into rectangles.
    Score a smaller rectangle 1/2 to 3/4 inch from the pastry edge. Do not cut all the way through pastry.
  2. Spoon filling on each pastry filling only inside the scored area.
  3. Top with berries, jam or a bit more cream cheese filling.
Egg Wash
  1. Slightly whisk egg white. Brush on pastry
    Top with Sugar.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until pastry is a deep golden brown and puffed.
    Let cool 5 to 10 minutes.
